Montana OPI School Nutrition Programs is proud to have amazing school lunch heroes that ensure students are well-fed and ready to learn. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to fueling our students for success. We hope you enjoy these coloring sheets that can be printed and provided in the classrooms or cafeteria for students to display their beautiful artwork and recognize their school lunch heroes on May 2, 2025. SY 2025-26 MAPS Application Packets are now available
School Nutrition Programs sponsors must complete and submit all sections by June 30.
New for SY2025-26 Application Packets
All elementary sites will be invited to participate in the Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Program (FFVP). Sponsors that do not plan to operate FFVP in SY2025-26 should not complete the FFVP section of the application packet. Sponsors that do plan to operate FFVP in SY2025-26 must complete the FFVP application section in the MAPS Application Packet, complete annual FFVP training, operate FFVP outside of the NSLP/SBP meal times, and attach the signed FFVP Signature Page (attached) into the MAPS Application Packet. FFVP application due by June 30th. If not elected or submitted, FFVP will be removed from your application packet.
April 1st CEP ISP Data
The annual Identified Student Percent (ISP) DCA snapshot data has been captured to determine CEP qualifications for the upcoming school year. Sponsors may review the 4/1/2025 CEP ISP data in MAPS within the Application menu under the form titled Community Eligibility Provision for school year 2024-25. Any corrections or additions (private non-accredited schools) to this data must be received by April 15 (no need to confirm the CEP-ISP data if correct). Sponsors wanting to participate in CEP during the upcoming school year must complete the SY 2025-26 MAPS Application Packet and CEP Schedule by June 30. Claims for Reimbursement
Select the 2024-25 Program Year to submit claims for the remainder of the current school year. Locate the Program Year selection in the upper-right-hand corner of the screen. MAPS will now default to the new school year. Claims are due the 10th of each month.
Free and Reduced Price School Meal Eligibility Materials
Materials will be updated & posted for SY2025-26 on the School Nutrition Programs website on/after July 1, 2025.

Summer Food Service Program 2025
MT OPI is gearing up for the 2025 Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) season! The SFSP is operated by local non-profits and schools that distribute and serve free meals over the summer to all children 18 and under. Applications to operate the SFSP this year are open in MAPS from now until May 16th. Montana Sponsors will again have the option of operating rural non-congregate sites at eligible locations.
Required annual training modules are ready for new and returning sponsors; use access code mt-406 to complete the modules. Training must be completed before an application can be approved. SFSP site area eligibility may be determined using this map provided by the USDA.
