Preparing for the 2025-26 School Year
Calendar Information As you roll calendars in preparation for the 2025-26 School Year, please consider the following:
- Elementary calendars to not require individual period schedules. Only full-day or AM/PM period schedules are required.
- If grades in the same school have different schedules (different start/end times, different non-instructional times) a separate calendar is required.
- Districts with a separately accredited middle school or 7-8 program must have a period-by-period schedule (cannot use full-day or AM/PM).
- Enter PIR dates in each calendar. PIR minutes are entered in the Duration field.
- If your courses rotate by day or an A-day/B-day schedule, create separate period schedules for those days.
- Create separate calendars for Extracurricular Participation and Home-Based Early Literacy programs.
- Ensure that calendars are set up correctly before rolling students.
- If you are an Infinite Campus School Services of Montana customer, please reach out to them for assistance.
- Reach out to the Education Data Collection Team for questions relating to calendar setup. Guides may be found on our website.

Cohort Data - Date First Entered 9th Grade: Please ensure all high school students have their Date First Entered 9th Grade field populated under the Graduation Tab. We have published a new Validation Report to verify status within the district: All Photo Repository Opt-In Status.

The new fields will reduce future data entry, as records do not have be re-entered with each new enrollment.
Home-Based Early Literacy: Students participating in a Home-Based Early Literacy program must have a separate enrollment created to reflect the student's participation in the program. It is recommended that districts have a separate calendar to track those enrollments. Instructions for creating those enrollments may be found here: Early Literacy Programs.
