Presented by Daniel Hyson
April 25, 2025 | 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. | Great Falls Hampton Inn
This session will review and discuss the 5 key tenets of a data-driven school and provide additional tools for and practice in engaging in systems-level data-driven problem solving, including especially with respect to problem analysis. Participants will also be introduced to a model for culturally-responsive problem solving and prompted to reflect on their own data-driven practice using the model. Finally, data on the potential impact of systems-level data-driven problem solving on student outcomes will be shared and participants will be provided an opportunity to consider how they can plan for assessing the impact of their work.

MTSS Building Implementation Team Modules on the Teacher Learning Hub
The purpose of the MTSS self-paced building implementation modules is to increase the capacity for school districts in Montana to implement a continuum of evidence-based practices and supports within a tiered framework, providing all students with the best opportunities to maximize achievement, both academically and behaviorally.
In this course participants will gain a basic understanding of MTSS and the essential components of effective implementation. Activities are designed to help implementation teams prepare their organization by building consensus, establishing communication systems, and mapping current resources that can form the foundation for development of the system of supports.
There are 11 courses in MTSS BIT modules series. To fully implement MTSS in your school, it is advised that you take all 11 modules to develop a solid MTSS framework.
All MTSS District Implementation Team and Building Implementation Team Modules are also available on our MTSS website as well as many other great resources.
