EANS (Emergency Assistance to Non-Public Schools)
This relief funding is designated to provide services and assistance to eligible non-public schools to address educational disruptions caused by COVID-19. In Montana, Non-Public Schools include homeschool families and private schools.

OPI retained FACTS Solutions (EANSfunds@factsmgt.com) to assist in managing the EANS Grant procurement process.
There are many resources available to nonpublic students in Montana. Wendi Fawns, ESSER/EANS Director
(406-437-8595 or wendi.fawns@mt.gov) with OPI, homeschooled her children part-time in high school in partnership with Bitterroot Valley public schools, and can assist with overall questions. For example, families that qualify can receive discounts for internet services.
Many resources can be found through the OPI Parent Resource page. Some of these resources include Dyslexia resources, the Montana Content Standards, Montana Digital Academy (online portal of course), Dual Enrollment (over 3000 courses at 15 college campuses available to high schoolers), and EdReady (self-paced reading and math focus online programming) are available to Nonpublic school students.
The process to request a liquidation extension for CARES, CRRSA, has been extended to ARP. You can access the Department’s explanatory letter to states, updated FAQs, and ARP ESSER and EANS liquidation extension request template.
