TEAMS Transition to AIM
There's a new page on the AIM website dedicated to the TEAMS transition. Currently there's a short PowerPoint, a checklist and a visual transition guide.
The AIM unit will offer a weekly overview webinar and one-on-one online trainings starting in mid-July. In person work sessions will be scheduled for September. The dates/times for Zoom trainings in August have been posted to the webpage. Please sign up for a time! We will be available in person or via Zoom every Friday from 9am-1pm. Please join us!!

AIM Updates
AIM Reporting Cohort Data- Date First Entered 9th Grade:
Please ensure all high school students have their Date First Entered 9th Grade field populated under the Graduation Tab. Please review our Reporting Cohort Data AIM User Guide for instructions on how to complete this field.
New Graduation Reporting Requirements:
New End Status and Diploma Type codes will be available soon in Infinite Campus for reporting new graduation information.
1. MT Youth ChalleNGe students who receive a diploma based on the student's proficiency and at the discretion of the resident district trustees, and on physical fitness, job skills, service to the community, health and hygiene, responsible citizenship, leadership, how to follow directions, and life-coping skills should be graduated with an End Status Code of 410: Graduation Alt Authorized by MCA. The student will be removed from the cohort but will not be included in the Federal graduation rate. Students who attend the MT Youth ChalleNGe program and meet regular district graduation requirements or complete a HiSet Options program will continue to be reported as regular high school graduates. 10-1-1402, MCA
2. Students who experience a qualifying educational disruption may graduate from a district by meeting the state minimum requirements for graduation in lieu of the district's higher graduation requirements at the discretion of the board of trustees. These students should be marked as regular graduates (End Status 400: Graduated) and identified with a new Diploma Type 05: State Minimum. These students will be included in the Federal graduation rate. 20-7-1330, MCA
3. The Superintendent of Public Instruction may issue a proficiency based high school diploma to a student who has exhausted all other means of obtaining a diploma from an accredited Montana high school district. Students who receive this diploma should be graduated with an End Status Code of 410: Graduation Alt Authorized by MCA. The student will be removed from the cohort but will not be included in the Federal graduation rate. 20-3-110, MCA
New User Guides Coming Soon:
The AIM unit will be removing and replacing all user guides in the month of August. Please be patient as we remove and replace all guides. If you are missing something, please contact us for assistance.
AIM Student Photos Needed:
Please remember to collect the Student Photo Opt-In information from parents as register their students. Then please follow-up with importing students’ photos into Infinite Campus, so the photos in AIM with the Opt-in value can be used by the Department of Justice to help find missing children. See our AIM District Student Photo Repository user guide for additional information.
Updating AIM Contact Information:
Please submit the AIM Contacts Update Form on the OPI AIM website to report changes to AIM staff or AIM contact information at your district or school.
