Upcoming Facilitated Hub Course
Building IEFA Mindset: Culturally Responsive and Informed Teaching for All is the second course in the Building Your IEFA Mindset facilitated series. The Culturally Responsive and Informed Teaching for All course infuses Indian Education for All cultural content and strategies for implementation in your K-12 classrooms. Learners can expect to investigate a variety of topics related to IEFA concepts: culture, place, generational trauma, primary sources, contemporary issues, and strategies for teaching difficult topics. Participants will engage weekly in activities that are directly translatable to their own classroom spaces, bridging the gap between traditional professional development and practical classroom content. While the course is facilitated, participants complete the weekly activities anytime within the week that best suits their schedule. Completion of the first course, which was offered Spring 2022, is not a prerequisite. Registration is currently open and the course will run from January 30th to April 16th.
Registration can be accessed on the Upcoming Events/PD Opportunities page of the OPI IEFA website.
