as you have, and you are, and you will…
Forever.
I’ll remember you always.

Helpful Hub Tips of the Month: We highly recommend using a personal email for your Hub registration. By doing so, your course completion badges are always with you and if you have them on a school computer with a school email that information may be lost should you move elsewhere.
Did you know you are able to change your username, password, and email address yourself once you have an account? YES! Just go to your profile picture icon in the upper right of the Hub homepage. To the right of that picture is a drop-down arrow. Choose the arrow>choose Profile>choose Edit Profile in red letters near the middle of your profile information page>edit desired items>scroll down to the bottom and click the Update profile button, and you are done!

English Language Arts & Literacy News
#1 Thank You MATELA for a WONDERFUL MFPE 2022!
Please join me in giving a huge thank you to our Montana Association for the Teachers of English Language Arts (MATELA) executive team for organizing and supporting an incredible lineup of engaging, meaningful professional learning opportunities at this year's MFPE Educator's Conference. An extra special thank you goes to Dr. Dana Haring for serving as our conference chair. We are better teachers because of your hard work, commitment, and perseverance that made it all happen.
It was wonderful to see so many old friends, familiar faces, and new colleagues at the conference this year. After two years of attending virtually, we were bolstered by the conversations we had and the connections we built. In coming together as an ELA community we showed that even a global pandemic cannot break our collective commitment to language arts and literacy education in Montana. Thank you to all who presented and all who attended. Let's keep this momentum going and strengthen our bonds so that when we serve our Montana students, we do so supported and united!
#2 National Teachers of English Language Arts (NCTE) Annual Convention November 17-20. Registration Open!
WHY ATTEND #NCTE22?
Attending the 2022 NCTE Annual Convention provides considerable opportunities for professional learning. Typically, each November, thousands of literacy educators from across the country make the journey to a Convention that inspires their practice and rejuvenates their profession.
They collect strategies and best practices for teaching literacy, language, and composition. They learn new ideas for delivering instruction that engages students and addresses the most pressing needs within the school and district.
NCTE’s Convention is the most historic annual literacy gathering for teachers and educators. Now celebrating its 113th consecutive year, #NCTE22 connects educators to the most passionate and energetic minds in literacy. Attendees will hear from leading education voices as well as hundreds of national authors, all engaging together around the pressing topics of the field.
The 2022 NCTE Annual Convention will be held in person in Anaheim, CA. NCTE seeks to uphold the experience of the place-based Convention and the important affordances of literacy educators learning together and from one another. Digital access will comprise live streaming of all General Sessions and more than 100 on-demand and networking sessions for persons unable to travel. Those who register to attend in person will also have access to the digital content.
To learn more please visit the NCTE Convention homepage or register now!
