Statewide SPED Director Meetings
Please join in the Statewide MT SPED Director’s Monthly Zoom. This first meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 14, from 2:00-3:00 and will encompass MTDD data reporting provided by Susan Wagner along with a Q & A opportunity for participants and general information. This call will be to engage school SPED Directors across Montana and provide support; training information; updates; general information; and fiscal updates. If you have any information that you would like to have on the agenda please send it to JP Williams @ jpwilliams@mt.gov Subsequent monthly meetings are being scheduled and a full yearlong schedule will be released in the September meeting.

On-Line Teacher Training Courses
The Special Education Unit is excited to announce a series of courses pertaining to Special Education processes, procedures, and IDEA compliance. These courses will replace the facilitated course: IEP Special Education Process – Referral to Graduation and New Teacher Training courses of the past. These courses will have open, year-round enrollment and will be self-paced. The first two courses, Introduction to Special Education and Interventions, Referrals, Evaluations and Eligibility will be available on the HUB Mid-September 2022. Subsequent courses focus on the IEP processes and are currently in the creation phase. Look for them to be available on the HUB later this fall.
