The EANS ARP Intent to Apply application opened October 24, 2021, closed March 24, 2022, and 53 applicants were approved in May 2022. OPI has retained FACTS Solutions to assist in managing EANS procurement process. Applicants who were approved will be allocated a base funding amount formulated on the number of students served within the grants target population (low income and highly impacted due to COVID). Webinar information for ARP EANS and other helpful material can be seen at the OPI website here.
OPI is committed to providing a System of Support including webinar training, open office hours, and expert staff are available to help awardees process their requests within federal granting guidelines. The webinar and other information regarding what funds can be used for is available on the OPI website under the EANS red tab. Additional assistance with EANS funds can be obtained by emailing FACTS at EANSfunds@factsmgt.com.
A portion of the EANS funding was returned to the Governor’s Office and is now available through a different application process to secure GEER III funds. These GEER III funds will be awarded to non-public education-related entities serving kindergarten through 12th grade students that have been most significantly impacted by COVID-19. The GEER III funds must be used to prevent, prepare for, or respond to COVID-19 as it relates to the delivery of education services.
