The AIM Data Collection Schedule contains a complete list of all AIM data collections occurring throughout the year. The following AIM Data Collections are taking place during the month of April:
Spring Assessment Registration: 1/1/2022 – 5/27/22
The Spring Assessment Registration data collection is intended to ensure that enrollment and demographic data is up to date and accurate for the following students:

Smarter Balanced: Enter and verify demographic and enrollment data for all students in grades 3 through 8.

Montana Science Assessment: Enter and verify demographic and enrollments data for all students in grades 5 through 8.

Alternate Assessments: Verify Statewide Assessment section of the locked IEP is marked for those students needing the alternate assessment. Enter and verify demographic and enrollment data for all students in grades 3 through 8 and 11.

Test Window Enrollment/Program Participation: 4/8/22 – 5/27/22
The Test Window Enrollment, Test Window Program Participation and Test Window Mode of Instruction Collection ensures that enrollment and demographic data for all students is current and up to date as of the Test Window Count Date, April 7, 2022.
- Allows for verification of Program Participation including FRAM (free/reduced meal status), EL (English Learner) Immigrant, Homeless/Unaccompanied Youth, Gifted & Talented, Title I, Military Connected, Foreign Exchange, Job Corps, Youth Challenge, 21st Century Participants, and MT Digital Academy Students. EL (English Learner) and 504 students.
- Verify that completed Special Education ERs and IEPs are locked.
- Verify Behavior data is entered in preparation for end of year reporting.
- Verify School and Student Mode of Instruction is accurate as of 4/7/2022.
- Student data must be accurate as of test window count date 4/7/2022.

The End of Year Enrollment Process webinar walks through the process of creating 2022-2023 calendars and rolling students forward into the next calendar year. It also shows how to end all 2021-22 enrollments, including MT Youth ChalleNGe, Job Corps and MTDA students, and how to complete 2021-22 graduate data.

AIM End of Year Program Participation/Mode of Instruction/Attendance Totals Collection and Extracurricular Activities:
This AIM webinar covers the entry of the End of Year Program Participation data, End of Year Attendance Totals, EOY Mode of Instruction and Extracurricular Activities which must be entered after the last day of school. This includes entering or calculating ADA #Days Present, ADA #Days Enrolled and ESSA #Days Absent for each enrollment in 2021-22.

AIM Behavior Validation and Certification Collection:
This AIM webinar covers the process for helping districts identify the behavior data validator and certifier. It also walks through the process for validating and certifying behavior reports. The window to validate and certify Behavior Report for 2021-22 is open from 5/11/2022 and closes 6/30/2022.

AIM Data Reminders
AIM Reporting Cohort Data- Date First Entered 9th Grade
Please ensure all high school students have their Date First Entered 9th Grade field populated under the Graduation Tab. Please review our Reporting Cohort Data AIM User Guide for instructions on how to complete this field.
AIM Student Photos Needed
Please remember to collect the Student Photo Opt-In information from parents as register their students. Then please follow-up with importing students’ photos into Infinite Campus, so the photos in AIM with the Opt-in value can be used by the Department of Justice to help find missing children. See our AIM District Student Photo Repository user guide for additional information.
Updating AIM Contact Information
Please ensure to submit the AIM Contacts Update Form on the OPI AIM website whenever there is a change in AIM staff or AIM contact info at your district or school.
