Data Systems Modernization Project Moving Forward
On September 14th, Michael Sweeney, OPI Chief Data Officer, provided the Education & Budget Joint Interim Committee an update on the project. Mr. Sweeney reported that the OPI has recently released an RFP for a new Educator Licensure system, with the goal of a new system being operational in May 2022. He also shared that the OPI is currently planning two more solicitations this fall to facilitate change management and stakeholder engagement and also bolster the staffing needed to plan and execute on the project. You can ready the full update here.

October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month
This a great time to update your cybersecurity knowledge and share what you know with others. If you are looking for resources the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) is the perfect place to start. They are on the web at https://staysafeonline.org/cybersecurity-awareness-month/ and can also be found on FaceBook and Twitter. This year's theme is “Do your Part. #BeCyberSmart”.
