Redesigned Growth & Enhancement of Montana Students (GEMS) Site

The new GEMS site was launched today in an effort to make it easier for families, schools, and the community to find and explore Montana education data.

A year in the making, the site has:

  • a new design with easier navigation,
  • updated data visuals,
  • improved tools for exploring data, and
  • enhanced search capabilities.

The new site has both a public side, and a secure side. The public side provides basic data views and information for the larger community, while the secure side allows school staff to see student level data. Informational materials and training will be offered to school staff that have previously used GEMS to help in the transition to using the new site.

There are still improvements being made as we work to refine the site in it's first few weeks, but the goal will continue to be sharing how schools and students are doing across the state.
