Is there anything more important than engaging your students in conversations about civics and current events? And is there anything potentially more contentious, especially in an election year?
That's why we're kicking off our Second Tuesday PDs with "Teaching Current Events."
2019 Montana Teacher of the Year and MTHS Teacher Leader in History Dylan Huisken (7th-8th grade, Bonner) will lead this session on how teaching current events and engaging students in civic education while avoiding the pitfalls of partisan politics.
This is an interactive training, so come ready to share what's worked in your classroom.
