Last year we were thrilled to receive seed grants for a handful of libraries across the state to have a teaching artist come in to provide classes for seniors as part of the Lifetime Arts Creative Aging program.
One of the criteria for site selection is that there needs to be a trained teaching artist somewhere close enough to your library to visit and teach these classes.
We recently learned that Lifetime Arts is offering more spots to train artists in rural areas to expand the reach of this program. This is where you come in!
Do you have artists in your community who might be interested in an online training to become a teaching artist? Is there someone in your community you want to bring in to teach a series of classes who could benefit from Lifetime Arts Teaching Artist training?
If so, please contact Bobbi deMontigny to learn more about what Lifetime Arts is doing, and to talk about ways to reach out to artists in your community to help expand this program!
