(HELENA)--- The Montana State Library (MSL) Commission will meet at the Montana State Library Gertrude Buckhous Conference Room and on Zoom on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. The public is invited to attend. The Montana State Library Commission meets at least six times per year. Commissioners include Vice-Chair Tom Burnett of Bozeman, Carmen Cuthbertson of Kalispell, McKenna Gregg, Superintendent of Public Instruction Designee, Tammy Hall of Bozeman, Brian Rossmann, Commissioner of Higher Education Appointee, Chair Robyn Scribner of Geraldine, and Peggy Taylor of Whitefish.
The Commission will consider action on:
- Consent Agenda: Minutes, Commission bylaws, and amendments to the FY ‘24 Montana State Library Annual Report
- Commission goals and next steps
- Commission budget intentions for the coming biennium
The Commission will discuss:
- The State Library’s base budget approved by previous legislators
- The Montana State Reference Network glide path to self sufficient funding
- Current federal grant awards
The Commission will receive informational updates on:
- The FY 25 Work Plan Dashboard
- Standing quarterly staffing and contract reports
- Website analytics and broken links report
The Commission will receive an informational presentation from Michael Q. Dudley, Accessibility, International, and Extended Services Librarian, University of Winnipeg.
The Commission will review their work plan calendar and future agenda items.
Members of the public who wish to share public comments on an agenda item or any matter that is within the jurisdiction of the Commission may submit the comments by February 10 at noon. Comments may also be submitted in person or on Zoom at the meeting.
