Vote for the 2024 Meme Contest Winner
As of today, voting for the winners of our 2024 history meme contest is now open! You can do this directly on the website. As shown in the screenshot at right, there is a small thumbs up "Like" button on each item, on the vertical menu bar to the left of the item. Like your favorites, and we will tally the results. Please share your favorites with friends and family to get their votes counted. Visit the 2024 entries here!

New UM Scrapbook Uses Tag Function
We are very excited about the completion of a project by our colleagues at University of Montana Mansfield Library. They have added tags to a newly uploaded scrapbook full of Forest Service imagery. Tags on our site allow you to place an identification on a photo, which makes searching much easier. We have a guide on tagging images available here. Anyone with a free registered Montana History Portal account can use this functionality.
