Meet the new Lifelong Learning librarian Hey folks! I know a lot of you, but for those who don't know me, my name is Bobbi deMontigny (dee-mont-knee). I am taking over the Lifelong Learning Librarian position here at the Montana State Library.  I have been working in and with Montana libraries for a long time and I am excited to take on this new role! I also look forward to hearing from you. What do you have planned for 2024? Do you have a hidden gem in your community who should be considered for a virtual program?

Smokey the Bear Reading Challenge Libraries are starting to  receive packages. If you are still waiting please know the National Forest Service is working hard to get the remaining shipments out within the next four weeks

Upcoming:

There are two more virtual programs on the 2023/2024 schedule! We are seeking cohosts for: Montana Local Government Voter Review 3/28 Rockhounding with Hellgate Mineral Society 4/10 - Link and description coming soon.  If you would like to cohost one or both of these programs please respond here.  Cohosts receive marketing materials leading up to each program and attendance statistics afterwards. Cohosting can be as big or small as you want. Examples of cohosting activities include: Add your library to the event on social media. Share the event on social media Put it in library newsletters or on your website. Put up posters or hand out flyers. Have an on-site a watch party!

Join SciStarter and STAR Net as we explore temperature and weather monitoring, wildlife observations, and other citizen science experiments you can engage in during the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse.
