System Alert
Workflows Reports
We are still experiencing issues with our indexing processes and WorkFlows reports. We continue to work with SirsiDynix on these problems. Last night we implemented a possible solution that unfortunately did not resolve the issue.
The holds maintenance reports did correctly run today, so hopefully you will see a decrease in holds issues.
Notice reports are still running behind but we have implemented a change to the report system that should allow them to catch up more quickly.
Because of the indexing issues, you will continue to see errors such as “Heading Keys Need to be Indexed” when searching and doing other tasks. Those errors may not get resolved until tonight when the indexing finishes.
To keep the system running with as few errors as possible while we work on this we are asking for the following:
- Please do not run any reports in the Workflows reports module while we continue to troubleshoot this issue. If there is a report that you need to run, please open a help desk ticket.
- Please do not add, modify or delete bib records until we have resolved our issue. This affects bibliographic records and includes importing records via SmartPort and batch bibloads.
You can still add, modify, discard, delete call number and item records (barcodes, call numbers, item types, locations, etc) and serial records as usual.
Please pass this information on to all library staff that are involved with cataloging/technical services or running reports at your library.
We will confirm when the issue is resolved. Please wait for an update before resuming normal cataloging and report running procedures.
We will be implementing another possible fix this evening, starting around 8:30 p.m. after everyone is closed. We will be running indexing reports at that time so please avoid circulation and cataloging work after that time.
