HAPPY NEW YEAR!
The new year offers opportunities for new beginnings and change. Perhaps you've set some new personal goals in your role as a supporter of your library, but don't know where to start? The State Library is ready to help!
In no time you can join the 12 other trustees who became certified in 2023! Could your library be one where ALL trustees are certified?
One source is the ASPeN event calendar where you'll find links to a wide variety of programs and events. The monthly Webside Chats with State Librarian Jennie Stapp will keep you informed of developments that might affect your library (join Friday the 19th for this month's chat!) Or maybe you'd like to know more about facilities management and planning?
Remember, anything in GREEN on the calendar includes CE credits.
Although CE credit isn't offered, the CE and Consulting hours sessions (this month on January 16) are an opportunity to visit with us and ask questions!
Trustee Interest Group Meeting
The interest group meets every other month, usually on a Monday at 4 p.m. The next meeting will be online February 19. We'll be highlighting a new series of short trustee training videos and the Excellent Library Service Award (ELSA) application. Hope you can make it!
Although meetings are announced in this newsletter, it would be helpful to hear from folks about what days and times are most convenient. Here's a survey to get some input - it's just a few questions and won't take long to complete. Thanks!
