We are pleased to announce that registration for the inaugural Montana History Portal LEGO Challenge is now open! Our co-sponsors at Lewis & Clark Public Library will be managing registration through their event system. The event will be held on December 9th at the Helena Main Branch of Lewis & Clark Public Library.
We will be running two different contests to judge your ability to recreate Montana history in LEGO format. The first is Build at Home, where you can assemble your original Montana history creation at home with your own LEGO bricks, and bring it in on the day of the event for judging. The second contest is Build on Site, where you will be using Lewis & Clark Public Library LEGO bricks. The on site contest will be held in 2 time segments due to limited space. We will have great prizes in various age groups for both contests, and we can't wait to see what you come up with!

Full contest rules can be found here: https://www.mtmemory.org/pages/contests
Please note that purchased kits will NOT be eligible for entry in the contest, and that you may sign up for either the Build on Site contest or the Build at Home contest - not both.
We will have large LEGO creations on display for you to check out, including a LEGO copper mine and a LEGO Navy ship that was a sister ship of USS Helena, whose enormous propeller and anchors are on display in the park right behind the Library. We will have snacks and LEGO movies running during the event, thanks to the great staff at Lewis & Clark Public Library. We hope to see you there!
