Montana History Portal Highlights

The Montana History Portal provides weekly updates on new content as well as tips on how to successfully navigate the site through this Highlights newsletter. You can find back issues on the "Highlights" newsletter section of our website. 

Library and museum staff members are encouraged to share these with patrons by linking our content and programs on your website and sharing through social media.

As you are probably aware, the Montana Historical Society building is currently closed for construction of their new state-of-the-art facility. But the staff are still hard at work on a great number of projects. We have been receiving a steady stream of new scanned photography from their collections, and this week we uploaded another 200+ images. This latest set is full of great variety, including scenes of Montanans in the military in a number of conflicts around the globe, images around Montana throughout the years, and also an eclectic mix of dog photos. We've selected a couple below, but if you want to see all the new images, simply follow this link to Browse All, and then click the "Order By" button above the results on the right, and select "Added Most Recently."
