If you have Verizon devices that need to be replaced for any reason, whether they are missing, damaged, or worn out, please respond to this form by the end of this week, Friday, April 21
It's helpful to be able to provide Verizon with as much data about the device to be replaced as possible. For example:
- Hot spot number: 406-594-8918
- SIM: 89148000007147252858
- IMEI: 990016874502329
Please provide all of this info, if possible, for each device that you need replaced.
If you're not sure what these numbers are, please open a ticket under "Statewide Projects" and we can work together to figure it out.
As for batteries, cords, etc, I am planning to order plenty of extras for every participating library, so you don't need to request those at this time. This is only a request for hot spot device replacement info.
Thanks! Cara

Coming Soon! 2023 Meme Contest!
We are approaching the launch date for our annual meme contest! It is an easy, fun activity that is always popular as a classroom activity. Contestants must search the online collections of the Montana History Portal, find a suitable image, apply an amusing narrative to it, and submit - that's it! The contest may seem simple, but it provides students with a chance to dig through historic photos and learn about the past. Thus, while a FUN activity, it is also an EDUCATIONAL one.
The contest will be launching soon, and we want to give teachers advance warning so that they can plan this into their classroom schedule. We will begin accepting submissions on May 1. Stay tuned!
You can check out the winners from last year on the Portal:
Age Group 10-18
Age Group 19-40
Age Group 41-120
We are very pleased to announce a new digital exhibit which serves as a companion to our second Adventure Lab walking tour. Both use historic photos of the University of Montana campus, from the collections of the Maureen and Mike Mansfield Library. Each location will feature a spot on campus, and allow you to compare how it looks today, with how it looked many years ago. We hope you will enjoy them!
MLN Virtual Program:
This is a reminder to share this virtual program event information with your patrons! Anyone and everyone is welcome to attend, and the program is entirely free. If you can't attend live, we still recommend people to register, as you will receive a link to the recording after it is uploaded!
If your library is interested in cohosting, please contact Amelea Kim at akim@mt.gov for more details!
