For Everyone
Mark your calendars and plan to join the monthly MSL Learn Webinar series!
We have planned webinars for the second and last Tuesday of each month. Second Tuesdays will feature MSL programs and most-requested topics. Last Tuesdays will feature “Tiny Tech Trainings” on a variety of MSL digital services.
Each 30-minute session will start at 10:00 a.m. Recordings will be available in the MSL YouTube channel if you can’t join the live session but we hope you will join us.
Visit the ASPeN event calendar to see the lineup of topics and speakers! Registration is open for all sessions. The scheduled topics or speakers maybe changed as the year goes on. We’ll update the events when or if that happens.

Providing high quality service to patrons is the way to assure Montana's public libraries remain successful. The Montana library community needs well-educated trustees to sustain this success. The skills developed through voluntary certification allow trustees to fulfill their responsibilities to their library and its patrons.
Trustee certification requires completion of fifteen continuing education (CE) credits earned in a 4-year period which includes:
- 15 continuing education credits earned in a 4-year period:
- Minimum of 10 credits in the Library Administration CE category
- Balance of credits are electives and can be earned in any CE category (Library Services to the Public, Collection Management and Technical Services, and Technology)
Credits are entered into ASPeN on the honor system and are verified by your board chair or another member of the board when the certification is submitted to MSL for review.
What do I need to do to get started on certification?
- Sign up for an account in ASPeN.
- Login to ASPeN and register for CE in the events calendar.
- Claim CE credits when you complete CE activities.
- Access ASPeN Help.
