MMP Engagement Ideas
Library staff members are encouraged to share the following ideas with patrons. Please consider adding these ideas to your website or sharing through your social media outlets.
The Montana Memory Project (MMP) is promoting ways for the public to engage with our free, online, archival content. This initiative can be viewed on our new MMP Engagement Activities page which will be updated regularly.
These activities can be done on a phone, tablet, personal computer. Families and groups can even share a device screento a compatible television screen so the whole room can enjoy.
There are special months for everything. Did you know April is Couple Appreciation Month? There are many photos of couples in the MMP, from formal wedding portraits to more casual snapshots. (The links show just a few examples, try the search terms mentioned below for find more!)
Can you tell when they took place just from the style of clothing?
Searching the Photograph collection for "wedding portraits" will bring up other celebrations, such as special anniversaries. Do you have any relatives who have reached those milestones?
You can also search "couple" or "married people" but sometimes there are photos hidden in other places, like this one in the Huntley Project collection, one of many wedding portraits found there.
Remember: another Meme Contest is coming in May!
And, the MMP is moving to a new platform so things will look different later this year.
