The first lunch and learn was completed on PR 101. We had about 20 people show up which was a great turn out! As requested, the presentation powerpoint has been provided.
The next lunch and learn will be February 18th starting at noon. This training will be discussing social media tips and tricks.

As WIC’s continuing resolution is coming to expire next month, the National WIC Association has created a Support WIC in 2025. We are sharing with local staff who may like to participate. |

One of our stakeholders, Montana Pediatrics, would like to share some information about resources they have available. They will also be presenting at our next conference call in March. |

The state office will be closed February 16th, 2025 for Presidents' Day.

Risk code 348 – Central Nervous System Disorders
- Conditions which affect energy requirements, ability to feed self, or alter nutritional status metabolically, mechanically, or both. These include but are not limited to:
- Epilepsy
- Neutral tube defects (NTDs) such as spina bifida
- Multiples sclerosis
- Cerebral Palsy
- Parkinson’s Disease
What WIC Can Do:
- Support to the extent possible, the medical treatment and/or medical/nutrition therapy a participant may be receiving.
- Encouraging the participant to keep medical appointments.
- Tailoring the food package to accommodate the medical condition.
- Referring the participant to other health and social services.
