When changing the primary card holder in Sweb, please be sure to verify that the date of birth for all authorized representatives is correct. This should be completed after the change is made, sending EBT data, and refreshing the screen. Also, if a participant is calling stating they can’t set/change their PIN with Solutran, please verify that the primary card holder’s date of birth is correct in Sweb. |

If there is a government shutdown, the Montana WIC State Office is instructing staff, participants, and stores that we are continuing to serve families as normal. If anything changes, we will provide as much lead time as possible for changes. |

The Teletask login process will be changing in late January. The new login process will use MT’s Okta single sign on service to login into Teletask. You can create/verify your Okta account at https://okta.loginmt.com. Your Okta account must use the same email address used for Teletask. We will continue to provide updates and reminders in the WIC newsletter. |

Santee: Santee Sioux Nation WIC has taken the opportunity to innovate ways information is provided to current and possible future participants. They have developed a partnership with the Little Moccasin Program, Head Start, and the Santee Health and Wellness Center for referrals into the WIC program. Santee Sioux Nation WIC is in the planning phase of developing an updated social media platform to reach potential applicants and to provide participants with program updates. Recently, Santee Sioux Nation WIC started a monthly newsletter, which has contributed to a variety of program enhancements such as education, participation, and breastfeeding. |

Risk code 358 – Eating Disorders
- Eating disorders are characterized by severe disturbances in a person’s eating behaviors and related thoughts and emotions. Eating disorders include, but are not limited to:
- Anorexia Nervosa (AN)
- Bulimia Nervosa (BN)
- Binge-Eating Disorder (BED)
- Presence of eating disorder diagnosed, documented, or reported by a physician or someone working under a physician’s orders, or as self-reported by applicant/participant/caregiver.
What WIC Can Do:
- Provide individualized nutrition education in an easy-to-understand format that is appropriate for the learning level of the participant/caregiver. Most education materials should be written for a 5th to 7th grade reading level. Be sensitive to the unique learning needs and style of the participant/caregiver, which may mean using food models, posters, and handouts.
- Provide referrals to medical providers, Registered Dietitians, and other services, if available, in their community.
- Providing individualized food packages, tailored to meet the needs of participants.
- Reinforce nutrition counseling/advice that is provided by the eating disorder treatment team/plan.
- Encourage the participant to be honest with their HCP and WIC staff regarding past or present struggles with an eating disorder or disordered eating.
- Encourage the participant to seek or refer the participant to individual counseling and/or support groups during and after pregnancy to help them cope with their concerns or fears regarding food, weight gain, body image, and the new role of parenting.
