The Gold Recognition indicates that A-1 Ambulance Inc. meets the following criteria:
- The Agency has a Pediatric Emergency Care Coordinator (PECC) and
- Completed the 2024 PPRP assessment.
- Each ambulance carries the required equipment and resources sized for children’s care.
- The Agency provides staff with at least 4 hours of pediatric education annually.
- The Agency provides annual community outreach including participation in National Night Out, Hands-only CPR presentations, and community EMS events

2024/Spring 2025 PEARS Information & Registration
The AHA’s PEARS (Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization) Course uses a systematic approach to quickly assess, recognize the cause, and stabilize a pediatric patient in an emergency. PEARS is for healthcare providers who infrequently see critically ill infants and children.
The remaining course regions/dates are:
- Billings--November 13-14, 2024
- Cut Bank--February 18-19, 2025
- Glasgow--March 4-5, 2025
- Lewistown--date not confirmed

The AHA’s PEARS Course is designed for healthcare providers and others who might encounter pediatric emergency situations during their work.

DPHHS Encourages Montanans to Prepare for Respiratory Illness this Fall and Winter
As Montana gears up to enter colder weather and another respiratory illness season, the Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) is encouraging Montanans to take precautions to help protect against COVID-19, influenza, pneumococcal pneumonia, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infections.
Data on COVID-19, influenza, and RSV activity in Montana can be accessed through two DPHHS dashboards that are updated weekly.
