Health in the 406

February is Low Vision Awareness Month

  • Worldwide 1 billion people are experiencing the impacts of vision loss. For an estimated 90% of those individuals, vision loss could have been treated or prevented.
  • Your eyes are an important part of your health. In many cases, vision loss can be prevented by getting a dilated eye exam once per year, wearing sunglasses, maintaining blood sugar levels, eating right, and stopping smoking.
