MT EMSC Prehospital Recognition Program
The MT EMSC Prehospital Recognition Program is a voluntary opportunity for ground EMS Agencies to achieve recognition in pediatric care. It is structured to be a multi-level recognition system, where agencies must meet the requirements of Levels I, II, and III to achieve Level IV.

Webinar: Pediatric-Specific Elements of Disaster Planning

Webinar: Child Ready Pediatric Trauma ECHO/Child Sexual Abuse
Friday, March 15, 2024, 8 a.m. – 9 a.m. MST
Presented by Rebecca Greenlee Girardet, MD, this didactic presentation will highlight key concepts for the clinical management of children presenting with sexual abuse concerns. The presentation will also briefly address approaches for preventing child sexual abuse.

AAP/AFSP Suicide Prevention Emergency Medicine ECHO online educational series - open to all disciplines
The ECHO program will provide online training for participants on the clinical strategies described in the Blueprint for Youth Suicide Prevention [aap.org]. It will provide evidence-based tools, resources, and support for implementing suicide prevention protocols in emergency medicine.
This ECHO series is intended to be interdisciplinary, and it is FREE!

Fatal MVC-Related Injuries Among Occupants Ages 13–1, 2017- 2021
This Fast Facts from Safe Kids Worldwide focuses on children 13–19 years of age in the U.S. in 2021 injured as occupants in motor vehicle crashes (MVC). Additionally, data collected from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Injury Reporting System Tool (FIRST) shows Montana had the highest number of fatal MVC-related injuries among occupants ages 13-19 in the U.S. between 2017-2021.

Featured Presenter: Dr. Trang Huynh, MD, FAAP. Dr. Huynh is a neonatologist, Associate Professor, Director of Neonatal Telemedicine, and Director of Oregon Health and Science University’s (OSHU) Neonatal Resuscitation Program.
Dr. Huynh has publications on reducing hypothermia in preterm infants following delivery, factors modulating effective chest compressions in the neonatal period, the ergonomics and preferred method for optimizing the delivery of CPR in infants, the effectiveness of mask ventilation during CPR, and characterizing prehospital response to neonatal resuscitation. She is a co-investigator on NIH-funded research describing pediatric safety in the prehospital setting and a recipient of grants to develop a neonatal resuscitation curriculum for EMS providers.
Dr. Huynh is presenting on prehospital newborn resuscitation, risk factors for infant sleep-related deaths, and Safe Sleep practices.

The USDOT's Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Notice of Funding Opportunity [lnks.gd] (NOFO) is now open for applications. The SS4A program funds regional, local, and Tribal initiatives through grants to prevent deaths and severe injuries on our nation's roadways.
