REVISED: Celebrate the 33rd Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act

  • The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), signed into law July 26th, 1990, by George H.W. Bush, provides civil rights protections to individuals with physical and mental disabilities and guarantees equal opportunity for all public services.
  • 16.4% of Montana adults have one or more disabilities. The ADA ensures this population has the right to work, receive compensation, and access healthcare, transportation, education, and more!
  • Did you know that the ADA National Network is a free resource that provides information and training on the Americans with Disabilities Act? Learn more about the resources you can access here: org/national-network.
