You'll find informative details of every update using the "What's New" button on the MDT State Kit Updater or on the MDT Design ribbon within Civil 3D. Note a few of the highlighted changes below.
Assemblies and Subassemblies
- New “MDT Auxiliary Subassemblies” tab was added to the “MDT Assemblies & Subassemblies” tool palette group. Included are previously deployed “MDT Connect Surface Slope Links”, new “MDT Cut Table”, and new “MDT Fill Table” subassemblies.
- Updated MDT subassemblies to automatically append a Left (_L) and Right (_R) (Point Code Location Suffix) to each point code name.
- Developed subassemblies with cut and fill tables that can be placed on any assembly to aid designers in grading corridors.
- “MDT CRDR-Hinge” marker style (displayed as a white circle with white cross) was updated to display 3 times larger than other points to aid in proper selection when attaching “MDT Daylight with Subbase”.
- Developed new subassembly “MDT Curb & Gutter” with options for various MDT curb types. “MDT Urban 2 Lane - Sidewalk was updated with new “MDT Curb & Gutter” subassembly.
- “MDT Ditch Block” assembly has been developed and placed on the “MDT Assemblies” tool palette.
Cross Section Labeling
“MDT XS-Elevation Offset” section label style for corridor points was created with corresponding “MDT XS-Elevation Offset” label set style with a setting that will stagger the elevation/offset corridor labels when in conflict. Use of this label style is accomplished with command CORRIDORSECTIONLABELSCONV.
Left (_LT) and Right (_RT) cross section marker styles, feature line styles, and blocks were created to provide offset feature labeling options.
Right of Way Access Control Palette
The Access Control palette was added to the 'MDT Right of Way' tool palette group. This palette assists in placing access control linework on the appropriate layers and offset distances.
As-Built Components
Added as-built components to support the as-built process. Created new layer CN-ASBT and layer filter “Construction”. Added Multileader style “_MDT STD-Arial Italic .06 - Color” to display as-built labeling as bylayer color (red). Created note label style “MDT CN-As-Built” for general as-built notes. The pipe styles MDT CN-Double Line and MDT CN-Pipe Crossing Pipe were created for the as-built process.
