MDT State Kit Updater - Version 2024.0.0.3 / MDT Civil 3D State Kit - Version 1.23
An update to the MDT State Kit Updater is available for download and installation from the MDT Civil 3D State Kit website. Version 2024.0.0.3 of the MDT State Kit Updater is installed and ready to access from the desktop for all internal MDT users.
MDT Civil 3D State Kit update 1.23 should be installed following installation of the MDT State Kit Updater. Update details for both can be reviewed using the What's New button on the MDT State Kit Updater dialog (before and after updates).
Pipe Networks
New MDT part catalog, parts list, and related styles are included with this release.
Existing Parts
Installing MDT Civil 3D State Kit 1.23 will add a new MDT part catalog and remove the previous MDT part catalog. The version 1.23 start templates have also been updated with new parts list and pipe/structure styles. The new part catalog, parts list, and styles must be used with all drawings following this update as the existing part catalog will be removed. Parts already placed in an existing drawing are expected to function without issue. If users choose to upgrade parts in an existing drawing, depending file history, the new parts list may have to be imported from a version 1.23 start template. Styles will also need to be managed if data referencing a pipe network with parts from an earlier state kit into a version 1.23 drawing. Users can choose to either update parts to use the new styles or use the old styles by copying them from the source drawing.
Custom Parts
User pipe network parts customizations must be saved to a unique part catalog in a secure location outside of the state kit folder C:\mdoh\StateKit\Civil 3D\2022\Drainage\MDT-Pipes Catalog\ to avoid being deleted during state kit updates. Switching the part catalog for creation of a desired part(s) would be required.
Subassemblies and Assemblies
Subassemblies and assemblies delivered with state kit version 1.23 are known to be compatible with Civil 3D 2022.2.5. If you find that you have issues, please review the support guide "“Missing” Subassemblies - Troubleshooting" for helpful information.
Custom Subassemblies
User subassembly customizations must be saved to a secure location outside of the state kit installed folders under C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\C3D 2022\enu\Imported Tools to avoid being deleted during state kit updates. Custom subassemblies must be created using Subassembly Composer 2022 with Civil 3D 2022.2.5 or previous version. It is advised that custom subassemblies used on a project be stored with project files in PKT format.
