CENSUS STORY OF THE WEEK
During the 2020 Census, everyone will have the option to respond online, by phone or by mail. In mid- March most people will be mailed an invitation to respond, and the 2020 Census Mail Contact Strategies Map Viewer shows what type of invitation each household will receive.
The interactive map shows, by geographic location, the strategies that the U.S. Census Bureau is using to give everyone access to the 2020 Census questionnaire. Various delivery methods are used with the goal of getting everyone to respond.

CENSUS EVENT IDEAS
With only 119 days until Census Day on April 1, it is time to start gearing up for heavy promotion and education on the importance of obtaining a complete count. The holidays are a perfect time to spread the word on how critical the Census will be for Montana. With many people gathering at events across the state it is a great time to include a Census banner on a parade float, set up a Census information table at a holiday gathering, or include Census materials in items that will be handed out to the community. Census promotion materials are now available!
