Montana Invasive Species Council meets July 9th in Billings
HELENA, Mont — The Montana Invasive Species Council (MISC) will hold its next council meeting from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on July 9, at the Big Horn Resort meeting room, located at 1801 Majestic Lane in Billings.
The council will discuss plans for the invasive species summit, review new videos, and hear an update about invasive woody tree projects addressing saltcedar, Russian olive, and common buckthorn. A tour of a woody invasive tree removal project at a local park will follow the meeting.
MISC is a statewide partnership working to protect Montana’s economy, natural resources and public health through a coordinated approach to combat invasive species.
This meeting is open to the public and virtual attendance is available with pre-registration. To attend the meeting in-person or via zoom, register before noon on July 5th by emailing anna.connerton@mt.gov or calling (406)444-2613. Include your name, email and affiliation when registering. Written comments can be emailed to staff and will be forwarded to the Council.
