Montana Invasive Species Summit
Natural resource professionals and stakeholders from across the state met in Helena for the Montana Invasive Species Summit held October 25-26. The Summit agenda and presentation slides can be viewed on the website here: Summit 2022 (mt.gov) The full report from the Summit will be coming soon.
The November Weed Post [msuinvasiveplants.org] shares results from some very interesting and relevant research regarding seed dispersal by vehicles and the value of washing vehicles to prevent weed spread. This research may be particularly compelling during hunting season when many people are accessing off-the-beaten-path areas via pickup trucks, 4-wheelers, side-by-sides, and even on foot.
