SIPPlanAnnouncement

The "SIP" Plan

Recently, our office announced upcoming legislation regarding the "SIP" Plan, a proposal to improve the way Mississippians get or renew their driver’s licenses. The “SIP" Plan, which stands for Service, Information and Professionalism, would transfer functions of the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) from the Department of Public Safety (DPS) to the Secretary of State’s Office. Mississippians deserve a DMV that is more efficient, effective and customer-service oriented. The "SIP" Plan is a detailed outline that highlights ways to increase DMV efficiency, accessibility and the use of technology. I’d love to have your support and help with moving this proposal forward. If you agree with our plan and support this legislation, contact your House and Senate members and let them know you support the “SIP” Plan. Click here for details. .

82 County Tour

We are now 10 stops in to our 82 County Tour! I am committed to visiting with Circuit Clerks & Election Commissioners in every county in hopes to strengthen the election process in our state. The input I receive from election officials on the county level plays a major role in our mission to protect the votes of all Mississippians. I look forward to building and fostering even more relationships throughout the year.

Teenpact

My Time with TeenPact

As a Christian and conservative leader, I was excited for the opportunity to engage with this year's Mississippi TeenPact Leadership Class during their meetings at the Woolfolk Building here in the Capital. TeenPact inspires youth to have a strong relationship with Christ, and trains them to understand the political process. The room was full of young people eager to learn and help Mississippi grow.

GrandMarshall

Mardi Gras in Long Beach

Carnival season is in full swing and this year, I was honored to serve as the Grand marshal for the Long Beach Carnival Association. Thank you to the many people who helped organize each event. The weekend was full of fun times for me and my girls!
