ICE Murdered Alex Pretti

Dear Community,

This morning, federal agents murdered another member of our South Minneapolis community. Alex Pretti was a licensed nurse doing what thousands of our neighbors have been doing for the last few months– caring for one another. ICE executed Alex in broad daylight on Nicollet Avenue, in front of witnesses and cameras. 

In the last three weeks, ICE has murdered Alex Pretti and Renee Good. Hundreds of our neighbors have been abducted – included toddlers– while countless others are being teargassed and pepper sprayed daily. ICE is inflicting mass trauma and violence on Minneapolis residents who are protesting peacefully and caring for each other. ICE must leave Minnesota immediately.

In Ward 2, Prospect Park neighbors are hosting candlelight vigils at 7pm on the corner of Bedford & University, and the corner of Seymour & Franklin to fill the neighborhood with peaceful resistance and demand ICE out of Minnesota.

Neighbors in Southeast Minneapolis are invited to Van Cleve Park at 7pm for a vigil honoring Alex Pretti and neighborhood community building.
