Hello to all my 3rd Ward neighbors,
I am sad to be writing to you all today after another Minneapolis resident was killed by federal agents this morning. I have seen the videos and am sickened by the brutality and senselessness shown by the federal agents. We need to have an independent investigation run by state and local officials. It is clear that the federal government has no interest in conducting a fair and complete investigation after they denied the BCA access to the scene despite having a judicial warrant.
We are united in our shock, anger, and grief. We also remain united in our resolve that we will not give the Trump Administration the excuse to send additional federal agents or military personnel to our state and city. I ask all of Minneapolis to remain vigilant and peaceful, even as our righteous anger finds voice in protest and demands for justice. We must stand together and show the rest of the country and the world that peace is the path forward.
Your neighbor,
Michael
