Minneapolis Police Arrest Man After Fatal Wednesday Evening Shooting

November 6, 2025 (MINNEAPOLIS) – Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara announced police are investigating an evening shooting that left one dead. 

At approximately 5:46 p.m. on November 5th, 2025, Fourth Precinct Officers responded to a report of a shooting on the 2600 block of West Broadway. Officers arrived and found a woman who had been shot. She was declared deceased on scene. 

Preliminary information indicates the woman was with a male acquaintance inside an apartment. Shots were fired by the male which struck the woman. 

A 65-year-old man was arrested and booked into Hennepin County Jail in relation to the shooting. A firearm was recovered from the scene. A knife was also recovered from the floor of the living room. 

Investigators responded and are actively working to determine the circumstances around the shooting. 

Minneapolis Forensic Scientists processed the scene and collected evidence.  

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name of the deceased along with the official cause and manner of death.
