  • Do not consume, sell or serve it.
  • Return products to place of purchase for a full refund.
  • Clean and sanitize any surfaces, containers, or equipment that touched the product.

If symptoms appear after eating the recalled products, contact your healthcare provider and report to the Minnesota Department of Health Foodborne Illness Hotline at 1-877-FOOD-ILL (1-877-366-3455)


Sprouted beans recalled over Salmonella concerns

Chetak LLC is recalling sprouted mat and moong beans products after FDA testing found possible Salmonella contamination. Salmonella can cause severe illness, especially in children, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems. No illnesses have been reported at this time.

Recalled products distributed in retail stores include:

  • Deep Sprouted Mat (Moth) 16 oz.
  • Deep Sprouted Moong 16 oz. packet

FDA issues Norovirus alert for frozen, half-shell oysters from South Korea

Capital Trading LLC and Wang Globalnet are recalling Frozen Half Shell Oysters from South Korea, harvested on 01/12/2025. The oysters might be contaminated with Norovirus. You can’t see, smell, or taste the virus in the food.

Norovirus causes stomach symptoms starting 12–48 hours after exposure, usually resolving in 1–3 days. But children, older adults, and people who have existing health conditions are at higher risk of severe illness and dehydration. 

The following product is being recalled:

  • Frozen, raw, half-shell oysters from the Republic of Korea (ROK)
    Harvested from Designated Area No. 1 on January 12, 2025, and processed by JBR KR-15-SP in Tongyeong-si, ROK.

Ham salad health alert issued due to Listeria concerns

Breadcrumbs used in Reser’s Fine Foods, Inc.'s Ham Salad have been recalled because they might have Listeria.  

Listeria can cause serious illness in older adults, people with weakened immune systems, pregnant women, and babies. No illnesses have been reported at this time.

The products being recalled are:

  • 12-oz. printed plastic tubs of Reser's Fine Foods Ham Salad
  • 5-lb. clear plastic tubs of Molly’s Kitchen Ham Salad

Chicken sausage recalled due to plastic contamination

Kayem Foods Inc. is recalling their ready-to-eat Chicken Sausage Sweet Apple products which might be contaminated with small pieces of plastic. Three people reported finding white plastic in the sausage.

The following product is being recalled:

  • ALL NATURAL al fresco CHICKEN SAUSAGE SWEET APPLE with Vermont made syrup made on June 28, 2025

Reporting customer illness complaints

If a customer complains of diarrhea or vomiting after eating at your restaurant, you must:

  1. Write down the customer's name and contact information
  2. Call the Minnesota Department of Health Foodborne Illness Hotline at 1-877-FOOD-ILL (1-877-366-3455)
  3. Suggest that your customer may also contact the MDH hotline, if they wish to do so.

Food businesses must use a consumer advisory whenever raw or undercooked animal food is on the menu.

Your consumer advisory must include a disclosure and a reminder. You can display the advisory on 

    • Menus including online menus
    • Deli cases 
    • Label statements
    • Table tents
    • Brochures
    • Other effective ways
