Updated Public Safety Notice on Saturday, June 14

Ward 7 Community,
The Ward 7 office remains concerned about the safety of neighbors, and we want to ensure residents are kept up to date on information from the City as it is readily available. Our office is continuing to monitor all information channels as the suspect of this mornings targeted shootings is still at-large.
The Department of Public Safety released the identity and recent photos of suspect Vance Luther Boelter. He is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, do not approach, and call 911 immediately.
  • He is a 6’1”, 220 lbs, brown-eyed white male.
  • He is believed to still be in the Twin Cities area and was seen at some point this morning on security footage at a business in Minneapolis wearing a light-colored cowboy hat, dark collared coat, light pants, and a dark bag. He may be preparing to flee the area.
  • He should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees him should not approach him and should call 911 immediately.
  • MPD executed a search warrant in the 4800 block of Fremont Avenue N in relation to a BCA and Brooklyn Park PD investigation. There is currently no known danger to the public in this area.

  • The FBI is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for info leading to his arrest and conviction.
