Hi Neighbors!

I wanted to send a special Newsletter to inform you all of upcoming opportunities to learn more about our Community Commission on Police Oversight (CCPO) and directly give your thoughts to the Commission. As the City continues to rebuild trust in our Public Safety Ecosystem, opportunities to learn more about our oversight and accountability measures and provide feedback are critically important to ensuring our community is centered in conversations about our safety.

This evening at 6:00pm at the Minneapolis Public Service Center, 250 S. 4th St., on the third floor in room 350, the Community Commission on Police Oversight (CCPO) is meeting with an opportunity for public comment. The CCPO will be receiving multiple presentations and reports including the annual report from the Office of Police Conduct Review, the Minneapolis Police Department’s Internal Audit Division Report, Police Policy and Research Recommendations, and a report from the Community Engagement Committee. The Commission will also be taking up multiple items of new business including the Case Synopsis from the Office of Police Conduct Review, and approving the CCPO Strategic Plan.

On Tuesday, May 13 at 6:30pm at the Minneapolis Public Service Center, 250 S. 4th St., on the third floor in room 350, the CCPO is having a public hearing for community members to give input on the Minneapolis Police Department’s policies, rules, practices, and special orders. The Commission is looking for feedback on:

This is a great opportunity to have your voice be heard about issues that directly impact the Minneapolis Police Department.
