Dear neighbor,
As you may have seen in previous newsletter, Monday, March 31 is the deadline to apply for a number of City boards and commissions. These boards and commissions cover various issues, and they help shape public policy by advising the Mayor and City Council.
Depending on the board or commission, a certain number of residents from each of the city’s 13 wards represent the residents of their ward. It’s important that each ward has a representative to ensure that a community’s values are brought into discussions that help to shape the future of Minneapolis.
While I have included links to apply for boards and commissions in previous newsletters, I’m reaching out one final time before the application deadline on Monday, March 31 with a specific ask to apply to serve on a board or commission if you are able.
You can find the current openings here.
City staff has informed my office that many of the following boards or commissions have not received any applications from Ward 9 residents.
Again, I hope that you or someone you know has the interest, perspective, and ability to apply to one of these boards by Monday, March 31. All of us in Ward 9 will benefit with representation on these boards and commissions.
Please let me know if you have any questions for my office or if you would like any assistance in applying.
Apply here by Monday, March 31. |
