February 11, 2025 (MINNEAPOLIS) Chief Brian O’Hara said today that the Minneapolis Police Department initiated the Crime Pattern Response Protocol to locate at least 3 suspects believed to be involved in 6 separate crimes early Tuesday morning.
Between 5:00 a.m. and 6:50 a.m., officers responded to multiple violent incidents, including an aggravated robbery and a burglary, both resulting a victim being shot, a second burglary, a carjacking, and a shots-fired incident. Witnesses reported that 3-4 male suspects were involved in each case, traveling in a white sedan.
At 5:41 a.m., the MPD activated the Crime Pattern Response Protocol (formerly the Robbery Pattern Response Protocol), dedicating all available resources not assigned to priority calls to locating the suspects or their vehicle. Deputies and officers from the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office and the Metro Transit Police Department also assisted.
As of now, no arrests have been made.
Officers have recovered the white sedan believed to be used by the suspects in these incidents.

Burglary - Shooting
Officers identified a 54-year-old man with a potentially life-threatening gunshot wound. He was transported to Hennepin Healthcare.
Preliminary information indicates three male suspects broke into a garage. All three suspects appeared to have guns in their hands and one of those fired a shot towards a house as they were leaving. The 54-year-old-man was looking out an upstairs window when he was struck by the bullet.
There were other reports of possible forced entry into garages in the area.

Carjacking at gunpoint
Officers responded to a carjacking where a 29-year-old man had his car taken at gunpoint. He was not injured.
Preliminary information indicates that four male suspects arrived in a white sedan. One of the suspects took that man’s grey Mazda SUV at gunpoint. The suspects left in both vehicles. Officer have recovered the Mazda SUV.

Burglary of Dwelling
Officers responded to a burglary that had occurred at approximately 5:00 a.m. where a garage door had been forced open.
Preliminary information indicates that 3-4 male suspects arrived in a white sedan. At least one of them had a gun in his hand. There is no known loss. The door on at least one other garage in the area had signs of being forced open.

Aggravated Robbery - Shooting
Officers responded to a shooting and identified a 25-year-old man with a potentially life-threatening gunshot wound inside an address on Lake St. He indicated that he was shot near the 2300 block of 32 ST E
Preliminary information indicates that he was shot during a robbery involving three male suspects in a white sedan.
The robbery pattern response protocol was initiated.

Burglary of Dwelling
Officers responded to check the welfare at a home where a garage door had been forced open. Officers confirmed that suspects with similar descriptions to other recent burglaries and robberies had forced entry into the garage. A vehicle inside the garage had a smashed window. There is no known loss. The occupant of the home was not injured.

Officers received information that the occupants of a white sedan parked in an alley got out and fired off shots. There is no known damage or injury.

MPD is seeking information regarding the following suspects believed to be involved in the recent violent incidents:
- Suspect 1: Male wearing a black jacket over a white shirt, blue or black jeans, black shoes, and black gloves.
- Suspect 2: Male wearing a blue hoodie or jacket over a white shirt, black jeans with rips or a white pattern on the shins and knees, white Nike shoes, and a black winter cap.
- Suspect 3: Male wearing a black mask, black hoodie, or jacket over a white shirt, black or dark grey jeans, white gloves, and black shoes.
“The brazen violence committed by these individuals cannot be tolerated by anyone in our city,” said Chief O’Hara. “Anyone who knows these individuals is asked to immediately provide that information through our tip lines or through CrimeStoppers. Together, we can all work to see that these individuals are caught.”
