Memorial Day, Garbage Collection Reminder!

Council Member Linea Palmisano

13th Ward News from Council Member Linea Palmisano

May 27, 2024

Dear Neighbor,

I hope this finds you having a good Memorial Day weekend. Today, I am remembering and honoring those who gave their life while serving and protecting our nation. We owe a profound debt of gratitude to the men and women who made this ultimate sacrifice. I also feel thankful and quite lucky that I am still able to talk and share stories with my 103 yr old grandfather, a WWII veteran.

This weekend we also reflect on the life and legacy of George Floyd, who was murdered by Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin on May 25, 2020. The injustice of his death sparked a nationwide civil rights movement. I will continue to honor his memory and that time by continuing the important work of police reform and continuing the fight against racism in our community and beyond.

Yours in Service,
Linea

P.S. This is one of the six holidays where our City garbage services are delayed one day throughout the week. Those of us on Monday service will instead have collection (including recycling) tomorrow. Everyone moves back a day but has their regular collection for that week. Please have everything out accordingly.

Meet with Council Member Palmisano

One of the best parts of my job is getting to meet with my constituents, learn more about you and hear your questions, concerns, hopes and dreams for our shared community.

If you'd like to schedule a time to meet with me, send me an e-mail and my staff will help get it scheduled. Please let me know what you'd like to talk about and a convenient place to meet—a coffee shop, a park, your home, my office, etc. I try to reserve Fridays for constituent meetings, but can work them in other times, as necessary, too.
