May 17, 2024 (Minneapolis): At approximately 4:43 a.m., Officers from the 4th Precinct responded to the 2200 block of 5th Ave N for reports of a shooting.
Officers located a male in his 20s suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. Officers provided immediate medical care until EMS arrived. The male was transported to Hennepin Health Care where he was pronounced deceased.
Officers secured the scene and canvassed the area.
MPD Forensic Scientists processed the scene and collected evidence.
MPD homicide investigators are investigating the incident.
There have been no arrests.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release the name of the victim along with the cause and manner of death.
