Five Public Art Opportunities for North Commons Park
City of Minneapolis Art in Public Places and Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board
Artist Info Meeting April 19, 10:30 a.m. - 12 noon CST
Artists are invited to apply for five public art opportunities. These opportunities are in concert with the North Commons Park Improvements Project. They include:
- A major large-scale exterior façade artwork,
- A vinyl mural spanning up to 12 windows,
- 3 painted murals.
Local artists or artist teams may apply. The selected artists or artist teams will collaborate with the design team and community to create these public artworks.
Deadline: May 3, 2024, 4:00 p.m. CST

Call for Artwork
Minneapolis Convention Center
Art Angels requests submissions of original, two-dimensional artwork by Minneapolis artists for the rotating art program at the Minneapolis Convention Center. The goal of the exhibit is to highlight the spectacular visual art created by local artists.
Deadline: 5:00pm on Friday, May 3rd, 2024

Cultivate Arts 2024 Request for Artistic Services
Hennepin County, a key partner in the METRO Blue Line Extension project, is requesting proposals from artists for arts engagement activities within the project corridor that includes the cities of Brooklyn Park, Crystal, Robbinsdale, and Minneapolis. The goals of Cultivate Arts 2024 are to engage the community to inform and consult regarding the Blue Line Extension project, celebrate local arts and cultures, develop partnerships across cities, community organizations, and artists as an opportunity to grow a vibrant arts culture, and to build local artist capacity for ongoing participation in cultural communities, arts engagement, and project planning.
Deadline: April 24.

Murals at Aquila Elementary School
St. Louis Park
Aquila Elementary School seeks an enthusiastic mural artist to design and install permanent outdoor murals at the school’s front entrance. The goal of this mural project is to bring to life the diversity of our school community and ensure all who enter our building feel welcome, represented, and included.
Deadline: April 30, 2024

Prior Lake Community Artist
The City of Prior Lake’s Arts and Culture Committee invites experienced public artists or teams to submit qualifications to become the Prior Lake Community Artist in 2024. The selected artist will develop an outdoor public art sculpture that reflects the history of Prior Lake.
Deadline: May 1, 2024

Springboard for the Arts
Artists Respond: Rural-Urban Solidarity
Springboard for the Arts invites artists and creatives across Minnesota to develop projects that explore and shed light on the concept of rural-urban solidarity. Culture bearers, makers, artists, writers, filmmakers, musicians, performers, and other creatives are invited to apply for project support for projects that help build understanding, interaction, compassion, joy, and solidarity between rural and urban communities.
Deadline: May 20, 11:59 p.m.

Minnesota State Arts Board
Arts Experiences
Arts Experiences helps to support arts experiences for Minnesotans throughout the state. Funds may be used for a variety of arts programming such as creating and/or presenting concerts, plays, tours, exhibitions, arts festivals, public art, or other kinds of activities that provide Minnesotans opportunities to engage in arts activities that are instilled into community or public life.
Deadline: June 21, 2024, 4:30 p.m.

Arts@MSP
The Arts@MSP Program is a partnership between the Airport Foundation MSP and the Metropolitan Airports Commission. Arts@MSP has three Requests for Proposals open on an ongoing basis including:
- Request for Exhibit Proposals
- Request for Performing Arts Proposals
- Request for Qualifications for Public Artist Roster
Deadline: Apply anytime.

Strokes of Genius Fund
An open application program that provides artists, curators, journalists, and scholars with funding to develop new creative projects. Awarding six fellowships annually with a $2,500 grant, feedback support from The Black Genius Foundation Staff and mentorship support from The Black Genius Brain Trust.
Deadline: April 21

Charles White Park, Altadena, CA
The Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture’s Civic Art Division invites artists and artist teams to submit qualifications to design, fabricate and install a freestanding permanent artwork reflective of the importance and legacy of artist Charles White in the newly renovated Charles White Park in Altadena.
Deadline: April 30, 2024, 5PM (PDT)

2024 Stevens Point Sculpture Park Juried Call
The Stevens Point Sculpture Park, located in central Wisconsin, is accepting submissions of sculpture work for their annual, three-year outdoor sculpture exhibition. We will consider a wide variety of work, including site-specific work, ephemeral and/or permanent work, work in a variety of scales, art with a performance component, proposed not yet built projects etc.
Deadline: May 17, 2024
