February 7, 2024 (Minneapolis): At approximately 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Officers from the 2nd Precinct responded to a hit-and-run crash. Officers located an unidentified man on E Hennepin Ave between SE 6th St and SE 7th St. It was apparent he had been run over by a vehicle. The man was declared dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel.
The driver of the striking vehicle has been identified and is cooperating with investigators. Preliminary information indicates that the unidentified male walked in front of a slow-moving Hennepin County Plow Truck as it left a gas station parking lot.
The GO number is 24-032613.
No arrests have been made.
Forensic scientists from the Minneapolis Police Forensic Division responded to process the scene and collect evidence. Homicide detectives and the Minnesota State Patrol responded to begin an investigation.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release the man’s name and the cause and nature of his death.

Officers arriving at the scene found an unidentified man in the street near the entrance to the gas station. It was apparent he had been run over by a vehicle. The man was declared dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel.
