February 3, 2024 (Minneapolis): At 10:50 on Saturday morning, officers from the Third Precinct responded to a shooting in a home on the 3800 block of E 39th St. According to preliminary reports, inside a residence, an 18-year-old man shot a 57-year-old man and a 54-year-old man before fatally shooting himself. The 57-year-old man and the 54-year-old man are expected to survive. The shooter is believed to be the son of the 57-year-old man.
Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Forensic scientists from the Minneapolis Police Forensic Division responded to process the scene and collect evidence. Homicide detectives responded to begin an investigation.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release the man’s name along with the cause and nature of the death.
