Suspicious death is ruled a homicide.

December 20, 2023 (Minneapolis): On Monday, December 18, 2023, at approximately 2:55 p.m., Officers from the 5th Precinct responded to the report of a dead person at 110 18 St E.

Officers identified a deceased 42-year-old male inside an apartment.  Due to the nature of observed injuries, homicide investigators responded to begin an investigation into what occurred. 

Officers secured the scene and canvassed the building. 

MPD Forensic Scientists responded to process the scene and collect evidence.

On December 19, 2023, The Hennepin County Medical Examiner released that the cause of death was multiple sharp force injuries, and the manner of death was homicide. 

There have been no arrests.
